Chatterie du Siam

The Chatterie du Siam is a belgian and small family endeavor where we breed thaï cats with the traditional morphology. The cattery was born in 1998 out of true love for Mickey and Opium. In 2000, our first litter filled us with happiness. Since then, our worship for the breed has not ceased to grow.

If you seek traditional siamese (male or female) with the following traits: extremely affectionate, enjoying to be hugged, balanced, a little mischievous, magnificently attractive, and displaying an overflowing tender nature, then we invite you to visit our web site and/or to come to our home to see our cats family. I will give you total guarantee and the documentation attesting each siamese’s genealogy up to 9 generations. We do not mix breeds. In other words, all our cats are of pure race.

We strive to breed cats which correspond to the breed standard established in 1934: traditional siamese, of formerly, that of our "grand- mothers”. Our cats comply with the established breed’s standards (LOOF and WCF), they took part in international cat shows, they obtained titles, and they have accordingly received awards on the podium.

We adore and respect our cats. We and our cats live in harmony since they hold such an integral part of our life. We only carry out up to two litters per year. We respect the fact that between two litters, a female must rest at least one year (sometimes, a year and a half).

We wish our kittens the most pleasant possible life, in company of cordial and understanding "masters". For that reason, a small questionnaire will be submitted to all the candidates eager to adopt one of our kittens.

We only have kittens for the love of the breed. We do not breed our beloved cats for money.

After your new small companion’s adoption, please do not forget that:

- we were there when your kitten was born and we nourish him/her with bottles of milk ;
- we cherished and pampered him/her (with, besides meticulous care, many kisses);
- our love towards him/her is huge and that, on the day you take him/her from us, we will feel both sorrow (seeing it leave) and happiness since he/she will have found a new loving family.

Therefore, we would appreciate hearing from you. We invite you to give us an update on your adopted kitten and to keep in touch.

A good departure in the life

All the breeder cats in our cattery are tested negative for the cat's AIDS : Felv ( leucose ), FIV and for FIP (PCR ).

The kittens will be primo vaccinated (8 weeks old) + recall of vaccinations (12 weeks old) (feline upper respiratory disease (calici and herpes virus (rhinotracheitis), panleukopenia)), dewormed periodically. They will be identified by microchip, and in possession of their European passport. They will be availlable on the 13rd weeks age. The kittens leaving the Belgian territory, or on request, will be vaccinated anti-rabies (21 days additional time).

A revaccination must be asked by the new owners at the mentioned date in the health book , this shot must be made at each cat's birthday, an American lab has found that the immunity is better when the inoculation is made at the birthday , and not 1 year after the first vaccine.

Each kitten is titular of a very beautiful pedigree (five generations) emitted by my Belgian cat-club (AAAF, asbl). This pedigree is recognized in all countries.

The kitten is given in good health after to be checked by my vet .

The kitten is wormed with paste, adapted to its weight and on sale in pharmacy, at 4 weeks, at 8 weeks and 12 weeks.

It will be advisable to administer to him a dose of deworming adapted to its weight every month to the age of 6 months.

Then 2 - 3 times yearly with the worming in pill sold in pharmacy, by being careful that one of the taking precedes the revaccination of some days.

A kitten or a cat requires care, as well as all our attention.
If you take a Thai Siamese at home, it is to have a living being who will like you all his life of an unconditional love.
